WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT

Reference words

Reference words are where dialect differences become especially obvious. This module teaches only forms attested in the specific Targumic or Western corpus being read. Onkelos forms receive Onkelos labels; Palestinian and JPA forms receive their own labels. The learner sees the pronoun in a real line, its referent highlighted, and a small dialect comparison only after the source form is secure. Later forms such as מאן or אינון are added only where the chosen corpus actually uses them.
