WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT

Time and measures

Mishnah discusses times, quantities, distances, volumes, and minimum measures constantly. The course teaches the recurring words יום, לילה, שעה, שבת, חודש, שנה together with units such as אמה, טפח, סאה, קב. These historical units are not assigned a single modern conversion on the basic vocabulary slide because their practical equivalence can depend on halakhic system and context. The first task is to recognize the unit and the quantity being stated.
