WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT

A related language inside Tanakh

Parts of Daniel and Ezra are written in Aramaic rather than Hebrew. The two languages are closely related, so many roots and structures will look familiar, but Aramaic has its own pronouns, noun forms, particles, and verb patterns. The course treats Biblical Aramaic as a small language school of its own. Hebrew knowledge helps, but it does not authorize the learner to force every Aramaic form into a Hebrew rule.
